Cookies, briefly
A cookie is a small text file a website leaves on your device so it can remember something between pages or between visits — which language you read in, or which cookies you agreed to.
Other technologies do the same job by different means: local storage, session storage, pixel tags. Where this page says "cookie", read it as covering those too.
First-party cookies come from gardy-craft.com itself. Third-party cookies come from another domain, such as an analytics service.
Necessary for the site to work
These keep the site functioning and secure. They cannot be turned off, and under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive they require no consent.

Measurement
These would show us which pages get read and where people lose patience, so the weak ones can be improved. They are set only with your agreement, and what returns to us is aggregated.

These come from Google Analytics and are read only in aggregate — which pages are visited, and where people stop. Nothing in them identifies you personally, and not one is placed before you have accepted the measurement category.
Advertising
None at present. No retargeting or advertising cookies run on this site. Should that ever change, this page is revised first and your consent sought before any such cookie is placed.
Third parties your browser contacts
The Fraunces and Karla typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Opening a page makes your browser fetch those files from Google's servers, which passes your IP address to Google. No cookie is set through the Fonts API, but the request is processed — see Google's Privacy Policy.
Product photographs may be served from a third-party host, which likewise sees your IP address.
Both fonts and images can be self-hosted so those requests never happen. Tell us if that matters to you.
How consent works here
On a first visit a banner asks which categories you accept. The necessary cookies are set regardless, since without them nothing functions. Nothing else is placed until you actively agree — simply continuing to browse is not treated as agreement.
Your answer is kept in the cookie_consent cookie for twelve months, after which you are asked again.
Changing your answer
Withdrawing consent has to be as straightforward as giving it, so the cookie settings can be reopened at any time from the link in the footer.
